A response to the OFSTED report of 7th June 1999

As will allways be the case with a report of this nature it came with mixed feelings. We felt that it highlighted a number of points we are proud of at the school. We are particularly pleased that the report stated that "the school has many more strengths than weaknesses" and "has improved since the last inspection". The report went on to say that :-

  1. there is a good ethos, positive atmosphere and good relationships
  2. there is a strong sense of community
  3. standards are above average in IT, art and design Technology
  4. the family literacy initiative is thriving
  5. pupils have good attitudes to learning and good behaviour

Seeing an outsiders view gave us the opportunity to review our progress and look to the future. As a result we created an action plan to address certain issues.

Progress

Since we received the report we have .....
